The #Punakha Suspension Bridge, located near the #PunakhaDzong, is built on the #PoChhu River. It is the longest suspension bridge in #Bhutan and if you are visiting the Dzong, do make it a point to visit the Punakha Suspension Bridge – it is a 15-minute walk from the Dzong. The bridge is a marvel and the locals use it to commute over the Po Chhu river. And while the bridge is beautiful to view from a distance, the view from the bridge is amazing since you can see the river flowing towards the Dzong. If you wait a while, you may also catch glimpses of the monks walking by the river in their red robes. Here are a few snapshots from the time I spent in, on, and around the Punakha Suspension bridge.
