Thukpa, Momo and View of Key from Rangrik

July 18, 2016.

We are on our way to #Losar now. And we are on the other side of the #Spiti, which means we are now in the little village we had seen from the Key Monastery side. That village is called Rangrik and you get to it by way of a bridge across the wide Spiti river, 15 minutes out of Kaza.

So from Kibber, we traced back on the route we had taken from Kaza to Key to Kibber, till we reached the bridge and then we crossed over and made our way into Rangrik.

Kaushal had said we would have lunch at Rangrik and so we did – Mutton Thukpa and Mutton Momo with a spicyyyyy sauce, while playing footsie with a puppy that keep nibbling on my shoes.

We have just left Rangrik and am looking at the Key Monastery right across the wide expanse of the Spiti river.

Actually, there are several little villages this side of the river and am sure we will pass them all before we get to Losar.
