Majhot, Himachal Pradesh, India, 10 September 2016, 10:30 pm:
Kittu got lost again. Earlier in the afternoon, Kittu was moving around the house. Uncle played with him and fed him water. He refused to drink the milk.
When we came back from the field after the Bean Pod Removal, the door was opened for us to come in. Since it was dusk, Uncle’s guess was that Kittu might have sneaked out while we were entering the house. And since 7:30 pm, everyone has been searching for Kittu every once in a while.
Initially, only Uncle was worried but gradually Aunty, Girdhari Bhaiya and Asha Bhabhi also got a little concerned. All torches were put to use, all nooks, corners, under the beds, behind cupboards having been checked. I asked Aunty that wouldn’t Kittu feel cold outside and Aunty said that that was the ray of hope that Kittu would feel cold outside and come back home.
After dinner, the search shifted to the attic and to the immense pleasure of Uncle, Kittu was found.
Goodnight at that then.
