We’ve reached the fields where we’ll spend the next few hours working.
The demarcation of fields is weird and difficult to understand for an outsider like me. Originally all of this must have been under one elder and subsequently may have been divided over generations of progeny. The boundaries are defined by some fixed trees and a few landscape features.
After understanding where to pick and where not to go trespassing into someone else’s fields, I started helping with the picking. The bright red and dried ones are the ones that need to be picked out.
