The ShaikhSpear Himachal Diary 2016: Did I Really Climb All That Distance?

Panjyali, Himachal Pradesh, India, 11 September 2016, 5:00 pm:

On the way back Home from Khatnol, I stopped above Majhot, near Panjyali, and took a nice long look at the view in front of me. And I could see far down to the right towards Gulthani, the road weaving up across Deola and Bagh, and finally climbing up to the ridge across which lies Dandi Bagh.

I kept staring at the entire stretch, left to right, right to left, bottom to top and top to bottom. Feels surreal that I have walked the entire stretch so many times as a child and in my teens. Nowadays, the bus runs on the erstwhile path and makes it all feel so easy. It would be fun just to revisit the old days and walk all the way up from the Big Old Tree at Gulthani.
