A fresh coat of Snow over Sangla Valley

It was a White Christmas in Shimla for the first time in more than two decades. And while it was great for out-of-towners, it was a relatively light snowfall for local residents. Kufri, the popular winter tourist destination known for its ski-slopes (it’s a 20-minute drive from Shimla town), had a heavier snowfall and there was cheer all around!

Meanwhile, Rahul Negi and Kuks Yambur sent us these photographs from the fresh snowfall in Sangla Valley. The first sheen of snow spreads a light blanket of white that makes this remote land in Kinnaur look like it’s shaping up into a fairy-tale, and we hope for a great season of snow ahead!
