White as Snow…!

Summerhill, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India, 7 January 2017, 1715 hours:

It has finally stopped snowing. The accumulated snow is more than one and a half feet now. As it stopped snowing, the fog started to lift giving a view of the nearby mountain sides with the trees elegantly dressed in the cover of snow upon them. Everything is so beautiful all around and people have started to come out of their houses to enjoy the moment. There are still clouds in the sky which is a good sign – the snow will not be able to freeze under  clear skies thereby making it difficult to walk on.

My jacket is completely wet and the only thing I can do now to keep myself warm is keep moving. Have been thinking of lighting a fire but everything is completely wet. Heading back home now to the comfort of a hot water bottle and a cozy bed.
