Kaza, Himachal Pradesh, India, 25 January 2017, 0735 hours:
We are ready to leave. The snow has finally stopped falling. Our hope is that the snow on the road will stay fresh. If it sets ….
Meanwhile, people are shovelling and sweeping snow off their roofs, porches, and yards.
We are waiting for chai and then off we will go to Sangla. I will miss Sakya House Homestay and Tsering Bodh and Tsering Dolma and their family. Now that I am leaving Kaza and heading out of Spiti, I am feeling a deep melancholy. But I know I’ll overcome it, and return soon.
