The Wayfarer Diaries: An Amazing Sight

25-01-2017, 1430 hours, Kaza, Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, India:
After returning to Kaza, we were welcomed with a warm smile and some hot tea at Sakya Homestay. As there was not much to do, we headed towards the marketplace to catch a breath of fresh air and see what was going on around town with the snow continuously falling at a constant pace.
While the kids enjoyed the snowfall, skiing on the slopes in the marketplace or sliding down on their sledges, the elders were busy clearing snow on the roof tops or chopping wood into smaller pieces for fire. We then went further ahead towards the river and the view was just amazing!
In front of us, was a flat stretch of land covered completely in snow, which was just enormous. The beauty of it was that not even a single person had set foot on it, and so it looked perfect!
But, the snowfall is getting heavier, so, we are now heading back to the comfort of our home stay.
