The Wayfarer Diaries: The 2nd Attempt

29-01-2017, 0810 hours, Kaza, Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, India:

The weather is cloudy today and this is our second attempt to head out of Kaza, and this time we are planning to go straight to Rampur. With these things in mind, everybody hurried to get ready and get on the road as soon as possible, for we are fearing the worst – that it might start snowing and we will get stuck here.

After having a hot cup of tea and paranthas, we loaded our bags into the car and bid farewell to our hosts and our home for the past 12 days. Also, being the only tourists in town at this time of the year, many people have started to know more about us. The people here are very friendly and have a very good nature. Presumably, we are the first ones to leave from Kaza towards Rampur today. If all goes well and we don’t have to turn around, we might reach Rampur in the night, possibly by around 2300 hours. Godspeed.
