Tanya Munshi Diaries: Reaching Geeli Mitti

Tuesday, 25th April 2017, Geeli Mitti Farms, Village Mahrora, Uttarakhand, India:

The beautiful journey came to a halt about half a kilometre from Geeli Mitti Farms. I was enjoying the drive so much that I slept off – much to the amazement of my team members. I sincerely hope they didn’t record me dozing off in the car.

Journeys like these can be very relaxing, the fatigue you feel is of the good variety – not that taxes you negatively, but the ones that lulls you to sleep. Ask any city dweller and he/ she will tell you it’s like falling asleep while resting their head on their mother’s lap.

We walked up to Geeli Mitti Farms after getting down from the car and were greeted by Shagun Singh, the founder of Geeli Mitti. The journey so far has been good. With work beginning at full speed for us, I’m learning to balance work, leisure and fun all at the same time.

Truly, the city life sucks out the energy out of you and when we come to place like this, it does remind you that you’re still capable of some carefree moments.
