Tanya Munshi Diaries: Morning Alarm

Wednesday, 26th April 2017, Geeli Mitti Farms, Village Mahrora, Uttarakhand, India:

We’re sharing the Bamboo Loft with other volunteers and participants, and two mountain dogs – Kunwar Singh (a 4-5-year-old) handsome black young dog and a 4-month-old pup named Momo, who got adopted by a Spanish backpacker couple. Both the dogs come bounding to welcome you, and Momo ensures she wakes up people with a lick in the mornings.

Shreya, an Editor from Delhi and my roomie at the Bamboo Loft, woke up on time at 5:30 a.m., and then woke up rest of the gang by ringing the steel bells hanging outside. What a beautiful symphony of soothing sounds ringing up in the mountains to wake you up in the mornings.

We all got ready, powered by chai to kick-start the day at 6:30 a.m.
