In the past few days, much of the western Himalayan region witnessed rains and snowfall which commenced on 11th December in the evening and continued till 13th of December. Not just higher mountain regions, but places like Kufri, Narkanda and Chopal witnessed their first snowfall of the season.
While loads of tourists are rushing to reach Manali and enjoy the fresh snowfall, news has come in that Solang Nala has been closed off for tourists as an estimated 1-2 feet of snow has accumulated there. Still, Manali is clear of snow and the roads are open. If you are looking forward to going to Manali to enjoy the snow, this the perfect time.
