The Snowfall Stops

1832 hours, 23-01-2018, Summerhill, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India:

The snowfall has come to a halt after a continuous session of 3-4 hours. About 2-3 inches of snow has accumulated by now. While most of the roads remain motor-able, some of the roads are now jam packed as vehicles are getting stuck because of the slushy snow. This is making it difficult for the commuters to get to their destinations.

The temperature has also dropped suddenly, making it the coldest night of these winters so far. Although it has stopped snowing, the clouds are still covering the entire sky.

People can be seen completely covered in jackets and mufflers and gloves, making a desperate attempt to get back home as soon as possible. Some others can also be seen rubbing hands and shivering, tucking in their hands in their jacket pockets in an attempt to keep themselves warm till they reach home. Even I can’t feel my toes as it’s time I head home to my cozy bed.
