The Wayfarer Diaries: The Refreshing Ramgarh Taal at Gorakhpur

1218 hours, 10-02-2018, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India:

We have reached Gorakhpur now, after spending 12 continuous hours on the bus. The bus had only one stoppage for half an hour at 7:30 in the morning, after we crossed Lucknow into Barabanki. Upon arrival at Gorakhpur, we were dropped off near the Ramgarh Taal lake, which was refreshing to see after such a tedious journey.

The lake is huge, with a circumference of about 18 km, surrounded by Gorakhpur and nearby areas. A few parks and a zoo is also located near the western shore of the lake. The weather is hot, but the wind blowing over the lake is making the weather quite comfortable. Our third friend has joined us and we have now decided to hire a cab for the journey ahead.
