The Mountain Walker CEO Sets Out For Brahmi Tal Trek

Pune, 13 February, 2018, Pune, Maharashtra, India:

It’s one of those times of the year again, when The Mountain Walker CEO, Abhishek Kaushal, heads out on a serious climb to a less known or little known peak in a remote part of the Himalayas.

And this time around, he is heading out for a trek to Brahmi Tal in Uttarakhand, India. Accompanying is The Mountain Walker’s latest travel consultant, Swarjit Samajpati. And the duo are undertaking the trek with founder-members of our partner organisation, Bohemian Adventures. With fresh snowfall a few days ago, the team is looking forward to a good, hard, winter trek.

All their bags are packed, and they are now at Pune Airport, awaiting their night flight to Delhi, from where they will take an early morning flight to Dehradun.

The duo have been Dehradun several times on various expeditions and treks in the past few years, and this time they will head out of Dehradun to Jaspur Bend by road. The trek to Brahmi Tal will start from Jaspur Bend.

Very little information (accurate or otherwise) is available on the Brahmi Tal and its trek. It is expected to be at an altitude of approximately 4500 metres above sea level. The team will collect all required technical equipment from National Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) in Uttarkashi on the way to Jaspur Bend on 15th Feb. The trek begins on the 16th and is expected to take five whole days.

So buckle up, get the popcorn, and stay tuned for news and views from the trail. 🙂
