The Wayfarer Diaries: Breakfast at Besisahar

0930 hours, 22-02-2018, Besisahar, Lamjung District, Province No. 4, Nepal:

All packed to go ahead from Besisahar, we reached the bus stop and inquired about our ride to Syange. We learnt that a bus had already left, and there was no vehicle available at the moment to go ahead, and the next bus would leave at 1245 hours.

With nothing much to do about the situation, we started walking towards the market.
It’s still early morning hours and the locals are busy with their daily routines. Kids have left for school and the shops have started to open up for business. We have decided to have breakfast first and then head forward as it will take us two hours to reach Syange. Hopefully we will be able to hitch a ride or something.

    • There are no direct buses to Besi Shahar from Belahiya, you will either have to go to Pakhara (8-10 hours bus journey) from where you can catch buses during the day with the last one leaving around 1300 hours. Another alternative is to catch a bus to Bandipur or Gorkha, from where one can catch a cab or bus to Besi Shahar. I would suggest to go to Pokhara first and get yourself registered if you are planning to venture into the Annapurna circuit. 😃
