Sanjay Mukherjee, Founder & Strategy Advisor

Born in Delhi and brought up in Mumbai, Sanjay is a thinker, writer, and mountain-walker who has invested more than two decades in creating artistic and design works in the fields of journalism, online media, communication, music, technology-enabled performance support, and learning methodologies. Unorthodox in method, a specialist in Critical Thinking processes and a firm adherent to the Concept of Mastery, Sanjay believes that work – like life – is a performing art.

A journalist, designer and independent business consultant by profession, Sanjay holds a Masters in History (Mumbai University), a Post-graduated degree in Journalism and Communication (Ranade Institute, Pune University) and a Diploma in Hotel Management (Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai). He has spent 25 years working odd jobs in different industries, including travel, hospitality, media, and learning and technology.

Sanjay spent his early career (1990s) developing general management and business development competencies with a series of short stints with small-scale businesses such as TPH Travels, Sterling’s Mac Fast Food, The Soft Ice Cream Company, Malhar Restaurant among others. He then spent 6 and a quarter years with Bennett Coleman & Co as a journalist for the Pune Times of India;  Subsequently, he invested 5 years with Brainvisa Technologies, holding responsibilities as AVP Instructional Design and VP – Business Solutions (Aviation). In 2008, he became an independent business consultant, starting a business association with long-time friend, Kishor Mistry and his Learning Technology business group, Peak Pacific, where he held portfolios such as GM (Sales), General Manager, and COO. Sanjay is currently Chief Strategy Advisor with Peak Pacific.

Along the way, Sanjay has also authored two books (I Used To Be A River and The First Book of Nobodyness), written the lyrics for a rock album (Mrityunjaya by Agni),  and writes a regular blog (www.thebengali.com). In 2013, he founded RedstoneSummerhill, an organisation that focuses on mentoring critical thinking competencies in individuals, developing first-time entrepreneurs  and undertaking fund raising initiatives and volunteer-development for non-profit projects and organisations. Sanjay currently resides in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
