Ladakh is located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and consists of two districts – Kargil and Leh. It is a cold desert region is nestled between the Karakoram and the Himalayan mountain ranges. The main town of this region is Leh, which is connected by road from Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. Daily flights are also available to Leh. Ladakh is famous for its monasteries, serene lakes, culture, picturesque valleys, meandering rivers and high mountains.
