Kunzum!

July 19, 2016, 1015 hrs.

We have reached Kunzum Top and at 4590 metres, this is the highest altitude I have ever been so far. 😃

Am missing out Chief of Operations, Ameen. Been missing him throughout the trip, especially at Khab, Kaza but now I feel it more because this was a trip he’s been dreaming of for years.

Kaushal is walking about, checking his camera equipment – he seems completely at home and at ease, like he’s on a casual jog around the park. Guess the preparations for the Mount Thelu climb is paying off.

The Wayfarer is off again. And my 9-and-a-half-year-old son, is all set and excited about his first high altitude mountain walk. He’s been a great trooper throughout the trip and he’s been doing what needs to be done in his own moody way.

The glaciers are stunning by the way, and more so because the high speed wind is intent on making me feel all glaciery.
