The Teesta isn’t just the Teesta. Like most rivers in India, especially in the Himalayan regions. Just as all streams, torrents and tributaries around the route of the Ganga are tuned to be named ‘Ganga’, and around the Spiti they are called the Spiti, so it is with the Teesta in Sikkim.

While we figure out which are the Teesta’s tributaries and where, here’s a view of the river on its way to Singtam.
