This is the very first time – ever – that I am ‘passing through’ Shimla. Literally just passing through, without staying. And it feels odd since Shimla is one of my homes.

We are running a bit behind schedule – another thing that feels odd since we don’t do ‘schedules’ at The Mountain Walker. Our aim is to reach Rampur tonight and the weather couldn’t be better for an evening of cross-range drive.
