Dandi Bagh to Majhot, Himachal Pradesh, India, 13th September 2016, 8:45 am:
After a quick visit to The Nursery and a few cups of tea, Uncle and I started on our way back to Majhot. We soon reached the ridge from where we could see Dandi Bagh on one side and Khatnol, Majhot and nearby villages on the other side.
Shaali Tibba could be seen in between a cover of clouds and one could also see Mashobra across the valley.
Our descent towards Majhot took us over some rocky patches with shrubs, into a pine forest. A little later, we reached the motorable road going towards Shaali Tibba and we climbed further down to reach the road to Khatnol.
A little distance before Khatnol, we left the main road and started climbing down into the fields, following the old traditional “paramparik” path.
After walking through maize fields for a while, we came out into a beautiful patch where the blades of grass were peacefully fluttering in the wind. A few minutes later, we were back Home at Majhot, ready for a refreshing bath and warm breakfast thereafter.
