The Mountain Walker Diaries: Kaza in White

Kaza, Himachal Pradesh, India, 24 January 2017, 1758 hours:
We have returned to Kaza and I can’t quite believe what I am seeing. When we left this morning, the roads were clear, the mountains behind us were mustard-brown. Now, everything is white. Everything. Everything? Everything. Everything everything including the brown mountain patches and black rock? Oh yes, everything.
What is more important is that we will leave for Sangla tomorrow morning because this here snowfall is aiming to grow quickly and become famous, which means national TV news due to road closures. So we better scamper while we still can.
